Homemade Christmas Gifts: Cranberry, Pistachio and White Chocolate ‘Chriscotti’
When it comes to Christmas presents, me and my friends have a sort of unspoken ‘homemade’ tradition.
I’m lucky to be surrounded by lots of talented and creative friends and, each year, they never fail to impress with lots of lovely homemade goodies. Think chilli oil, chutneys and big jars of delicious granola - usually accompanied by hauls of beer to see us through the festive season.
It’s always so lovely to exchange such thoughtful gifts that you know have been lovingly crafted by your favourite people - even if it is in the car park of your favourite Indian restaurant post our annual Christmas Curry (our second totally spoken about tradition).
I genuinely start to get excited about this in August.
Perhaps the homemade gift has been tarnished by dodgy Pinterest fails - but I think it says so much more than a gift card ever could.
So, in the run up to the big day, I’ve decided to share some of my favourite recipes - ideal for Christmas gifting; starting with my ‘Chriscotti’!
What’s great about biscotti is that it’s really easy to make in a large batch - and, stored securely, it will keep for three or so weeks. Even still, I’d recommend baking as close to present swapping as possible so they last just as long for the recipient.
Of course you can substitute for different types of dried fruit and nuts but, for me, this combination just works!
