I might not be into camping, but that doesn’t mean I can’t enjoy campsite treats.
I remember first being introduced to S’mores on holiday in the US. It was Christmas and we sat around an open fire, toasting marshmallows and sandwiching them between Graham crackers and thick slabs of Hershey’s chocolate - heaven.
This tart pays homage to this oozing chocolate-y treat - perfect for a summer BBQ too. Once you get the pastry down, this tart is super simple to make - particularly the chocolate ganache, which has a really lovely shine to it.
If you don’t have a blowtorch for the toasted meringue, then I highly recommend buying one. Not only are they fun to use but the it gives the meringue a real campfire ‘toasted’ flavour - just like the real deal.
